Retreat Investment

Investment in your Couples Intensive Weekend Retreat for Relationship Renewal.

One of the first questions that is usually asked by people considering a Couples Intensive Weekend Retreat is “What is the cost?”

It’s an “investment,” not a cost. While what you will invest is an important consideration, it should be viewed as an “investment,” and not a cost. It is an investment that you and your partner make in attempting to renew and rejuvenate your relationship. What dollar value would you place on your relationship? How much would you really be willing to invest in order to keep and renew your relationship?

What would it cost you to dissolve your relationship? Consider: What’s the monetary cost to you and your partner if you dissolve your relationship? How much would you spend on lawyers? On separate living accommodations? Alimony? Child support? What other additional expenses would you have if you and your partner lived apart? Your investment in an Intensive Retreat is less than you would pay as a deposit to an attorney to start divorce proceedings.

Compare the investment in an Intensive Retreat to what you’d invest in traditional counseling. Another consideration is the investment that you’ll make in a Couples Intensive Weekend Retreat compared to months and months of traditional once-a-week marriage counseling sessions with a therapist that charges $150 to $250 per hour. You would most likely invest the same amount in traditional once-a-week counseling sessions over a six-to-nine month period as you’ll invest in an Intensives Retreat. And, there is strong evidence that supports that intensive therapy produces more profound results.

Intensive Retreats have been shown to be more effective than traditional marriage counseling. Several studies have shown that intensive counseling consisting of several hours over a few days has a more profound effect, and higher success rate, than traditional once-a-week therapy sessions.

The wiser choice is… Therefore, if an Intensive Retreat is more effective than traditional counseling, and you’d end up investing the same amount in months of traditional therapy as you would in one Intensive Retreat, and you’d be on the road to relationship renewal much quicker… doesn’t your investment in an Intensive Retreat seem the wiser choice?
